Reynolda House releases “Tiffany Glass: Painting with Color and Light” virtual exhibition tour
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Oct. 26, 2020) — Reynolda House has released a free Tiffany Glass: Painting with Color and Light virtual exhibition tour. Members of the museum were invited to virtually tour the exhibition last week prior to the tour’s release to the greater public today. The tour may be viewed via the reynoldahouse.org website.
The virtual 3D exhibition tour was created using Matterport technology by David Norman, Principal, Laser Scanning Services Co. of Winston-Salem as a way to make the Tiffany Glass exhibition accessible to those who are unable to visit the exhibition in-person or who would feel more comfortable visiting virtually.
“Reynolda is extremely grateful for the generosity of museum member David Norman and his drive to make the Tiffany Glass exhibition accessible for anyone to visit virtually by offering his talent and services to the museum,” explains Phil Archer, deputy director of Reynolda House. “At a time when the museum’s capacity is greatly restricted and tickets are selling out, we are delighted to offer a comprehensive and complementary virtual experience in English and Spanish for anyone to enjoy.”
Norman adds, “We are delighted to share our virtual tour platform so that anyone, anywhere, can enjoy Tiffany Glass: Painting with Color and Light. Who hope that all who are unable to visit the marvelous exhibit in-person enjoy the virtual tour.”
Tiffany Glass: Painting with Color and Light, organized by The Neustadt Collection of Tiffany Glass in Queens, New York, is on view until Nov. 29. The first exhibition of its kind at Reynolda, it includes five windows, twenty lamps, and several displays showing how Tiffany glass was manufactured, how his lamps were assembled and how collectors today can distinguish between authentic lamps and forgeries.

Admission to Reynolda House is always free for students with ID, children 18 and younger, Wake Forest University faculty and staff, Wake Forest Baptist employees, and active and retired military with ID. In addition, Reynolda House offers admission passes at every branch of the Forsyth County Public Library for free admission. First responders receive free admission through Dec. 31.
Reynolda House, located at 2250 Reynolda Rd., is open to visitors Tuesday-Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
