Students Reflect on Personal Odyssey Inspired by Romare Bearden

On November 9, Reynolda House staff were invited to Reynolds Memorial auditorium at Reynolds High School for a performance featuring choral groups and dancers from Winston-Salem State, Wake Forest University, and Reynolds High School.  The performance was the culmination of a semester-long study of the artist, Romare Bearden, whose works are on view at Reynolda House through January 13, 2013.

At the end of the program Trish Oxford, who manages our social media initiatives, addressed the 1800 students and challenged them to text an answer to the following question in 140 characters or less: Where are you in your personal odyssey?

We received 37 meaningful and authentic entries, six of which were chosen to receive gift certificates to Simplyummy cafe in Reynolda Village.  Below are the six winners, as well as the other 31 entries.

We are proud of all these students and wish them the best as they pursue their personal odyssey!
