Reynolda: "Free from Dust and Germs" since 1917

Reynolda House has always been a modern place. When it was completed in 1917, the house contained up-to-the-minute conveniences like an internal vacuum system and an air washer to keep it free from dust and germs. In the 1930s, Mary Reynolds Babcock, daughter of R.J. and Katharine Reynolds, introduced new style to Reynolda, installing a Streamlined Modern bar in the basement, along with facilities for bowling, roller skating, and other activities.
