All-People-Social-Media Converge on Reynolda on October 16!

By Trish Oxford, Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications | @TrishatReynolda

On October 17, ConvergeSouth - a one day, jam-packed technology + creativity conference - is coming to Winston-Salem for the first time in ten years. To punctuate this milestone, Reynolda House is excited to announce that we will host the first ever Convergesouth VIP reception on October 16 at 5:30 p.m.  Imagine a beautiful museum full of the top marketing gurus, technoWIZARDS, and social media addicts of the Triad and beyond. You have to be there to be part of this powerful event. Only 43 tickets remain-- get yours today!

Convergesouth is designed to be affordable, ridiculously informative, and immediately applicable. In a nutshell, no matter who you are and what you know, you will leave Convergesouth with concrete skills that will make you better at your job the moment you leave. I first attended Convergesouth my second month on the job at Reynolda two years ago. In retrospect, I truly value the foresight my director had to place me among the state’s movers and shakers in the digital world, which springboarded my work at the Museum.

This year the VIP reception adds a much needed outlet for attendees to network and socialize. From corporate social media directors to mommy bloggers, from small businesses to non-profit organizations, our vision is to get all-people-social in the same room and see what happens!

Be prepared to ignite your creative wildfires with a digital art experience crafted by the Museum featuring The Andes of Ecuador by Frederic Church. Enjoy themed beverages and light appetizers, and join the #convergesouth conversation online and onsite with the region's top influencers in the field.  Ask your questions to and have them answered by presenters, sponsors, and the keynote speaker, Bob Knorpp of the Beancast.

Immediately following the reception, the traditional conference Tweet-up will double as a #DrinkingaboutMuseums in Reynolda Village with a dutch-treat dinner for all conference attendees.

As a board member of Convergesouth and a representative of a non-profit organization, it’s my mission to not let limited resources be an obstacle to participate in this event. If you are interested in attending, please tweet me @TrishatReynolda or email for information on scholarships and non-profit/hardship discounts.

Can’t wait to tweet you!
