Rights and Reproduction

The Office of Rights and Reproductions provides images for educational presentations, professional research, print and electronic publications, and media projects.

Many images on this website are protected under copyright laws. These images may not be reproduced without the express permission of both Reynolda House and the copyright owner.

To request images for artworks or to request an image not available on our website, please use the following form to contact the Collections department:

Photographic materials

High-resolution digital photographs are available for most works in the fine art collection. Digital photographs of objects in the historic house collection are available on a limited basis.

Reproduction fees

Reproduction fees vary according to the scope and purpose of each project. Completion of the request form allows us to quote you the appropriate fee.

Copyright awareness

Please keep in mind that our institution does not own the copyright for all of the works in our collection. While we do our best to inform you of whom to contact, it is the responsibility of the person making the request to obtain permission from the copyright holder and to provide proof of permission to Reynolda House.

Making a request

All requests are processed in a timely manner, according to the order in which they are received. It is the responsibility of the applicant to submit the form and to comply with our need to see color proofs, if necessary.

Payment methods

Payment may be made by check or money order payable to Reynolda House Museum of American Art.
