DescriptionThis landscape drawing created by Thomas W. Sears (1880-1966) shows the planting plan for the area around the den wing of Reynolda House. The type and quantity of each plant or tree is indicated at its location. The original plan is undated, but notes were added 10 November 1931 and indicate various changes to be made to the existing landscape such as trimming plants, removing beds, and replacing some plant species with a different variety. On the left side of the plan are a list of plants and their quantities to accompany the plan along with a detail of which plants were to be introduced down vista of Mr. Reynolds’ den, in the terrace garden, in front of the terrace, and in front of the bungalow. After the initial phase of site development in 1912, Katharine Reynolds selected Thomas W.
