Last fall the Mint Museum, North Carolina’s oldest art museum, opened a new five-story, 145,000 square foot facility in uptown Charlotte. This fall the museum celebrates native son Romare Bearden’s centennial with a major exhibition. We will also visit the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts and Culture, the Mint Museum of Craft + Design, and the Queen City’s other enfant fantastique, the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, which opened in 2009 featuring the work of marquee European modernists like Giacometti, Miró, Degas and Max Ernst. We will depart at 8 a.m. and return at 5:30 p.m. Lunch is included.
COST: $75 per member
