Special Needs

Reynolda House schedules guided tours of the museum throughout the year for students and adults with disabilities. Groups come once a week for three weeks and tour a different part of the museum before engaging in a relevant hands-on art activity.  Both the tour and art project are designed with the special needs of the participants in mind. Visitors served by this program include Exceptional Children classes from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County schools, patients in psychiatric treatment programs, at-risk youth, mentally and physically disabled adults, and disadvantaged youth. The program is free of charge to participants.
