Reynolda House offers two unique summer camp experiences for elementary and middle school students. Using the Museum's renowned collection of American art as inspiration, participants create original works of art during Summer Enrichment and their own written compositions during Writing Adventures. During the middle school session, Reynolda House and the Museum of Anthropology at Wake Forest University will collaborate on a presentation of Frederic Church's masterpiece The Andes of Ecuador. Students will carefully study the painting, and artifacts from South America will be examined, lending a historical and cultural context to their appreciation of the art. Students also enjoy time in the historic house, art studios, and on the grounds of Reynolda. Both programs are half-day, one-week sessions. For details, availability, and to register, call 336.758.5599 or visit reynoldahouse.org/kids. Scholarships available. |
