American Arts Discovery

American Arts Discovery is a multiple session course offered twice a year for adults interested in volunteering at the museum or learning about American cultural history.
The course encourages each participant to have a personal reaction to an artwork, to express and discuss their response, and to research the aesthetic and historic period in which the artist was working.
The course is open to people of all ages and interests, and does not require a background in art or art history.
Participants will find themselves intrigued, challenged, and supported as they learn in the company of other lifelong learners.
A morning class (9:30 am - 12:30 pm) is scheduled in the fall, and an evening class (7-9:00 pm) is scheduled in early spring.
